Earthquakes & Lashing Clients

No these two things don’t go together folks but it happened to me on Tuesday, July 16th, 2019 and it’s going down as the craziest thing that has ever happened while lashing.

I hadn’t this client in a few years because she’s been away for college so naturally, I was extremely happy to see her and catch up with what’s been going on in her life. Shortly after catching up, she decided to take a little nap which is always ok by me.

About an hour into applying her lashes, I feel a shake as if a car ran into the building. And then I notice my blinds are swinging. Even worse, it jolted her and woke her up out of her sleep. Luckily, I was in the process of picking up a lash when it happened and didn’t have those sharp tools near her eyes, otherwise, that could have turned out really bad.

So what did I do? Well… definitely not what I was taught in my early elementary days. lol

I just sat there trying to piece together what happened and as the ground rocked back and forth, that’s when we both realized that the jolt was indeed, an earthquake.

After about a minute or so, the rocking stopped, we both chuckled and I kept on lashing. I commend her for not opening her eyes when it all happened and I commend both of us for not panicking.

So, this goes down as the craziest thing that’s ever happened while lashing. Thank goodness there was no major damage and no one got hurt.

In case you’re wondering what earthquake lashes look like, here are the finished results.
